Link/ Actor Kal Penn's Final Thoughts After Leaving the White House

Here’s the answer to yesterday’s Trivia Wednesday question!

QUESTION: Which former actor on the TV show, House, once worked as the Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement and served as a liaison to the AAPI communities?

ANSWER: Kalpen Modi, perhaps better known by his stage name, Kal Penn, served as the Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement and liaison to the AAPI communities during the Obama Administration from 2009 to 2011. Although he is an actor by trade, Kalpen felt the need to be civically and politically engaged on a personal level and subsequently took a 2-year leave from Hollywood to work for the White House. His career choices demonstrate that it is possible to balance the things you are passionate about with work that makes a difference in society.
